PRE-1901 Match |
August 02, 2008 |
It was hot enough to blister yer barrel. We had 9 shooters, and the 45-70 Gov't seemed to be the cartridge of choice. It was a tight match again, and the interval between 1st and last is shrinking with every match. I would like to thanks Mrs. Kelton for coming out and taking pictures of the match for the club website. Check them out, she captured some interesting angles.
For those who can't use the Excel spreadsheet all strings are 5 shots each:
String #1: Standing Slow Fire
String #2: Shooter's choice of position w/o artifical support ie. cross sticks, Slow Fire
String #3: Shooter's choice w/support if desired, Slow Fire
String #4: Shooter's choice w/support, Timed Fire. Time set at 3min. during the first match by Mike Bradish firing an 1861 Colt Rifled Musket (muzzleloader) (That feller shore knows how to swing a ramrod!)
String #5: Shooter's choice w/support, Slow Fire. Fired at a paper silohouette, 10 point for a hit, 0 for a miss
